Super Smash Bros. Brawl: The Lost Tracks v1.1

These songs represent the music cut from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Most of these are not the versions of the songs that would've been in the game, but they are probably the closest Nintendo fans will ever get.

During this final week before Brawl's release in the US, I will be adding the rest of the Brawl soundtrack in the same quality as this release, each song given an appropriate and unique screenshot from the official website.

MORE DETAILS:

People discovered an archive (smashbros_sound.brsar) on the Super Smash Bros. Brawl Game Disc that listed all of the music with descriptive labels. There were some songs listed that weren't actually on the disc. I spent many hours researching and finding the most official versions of these lost tracks, in the highest quality available. Many of these songs are highly sought by fans, so I feel honored to be able to bring them to you!

"track_details.htm" explains why I chose these particular tracks. It also lists the tweaks I did to unify and enhance the songs in order to bring them to the same level of quality as the music still in the game. This release does not include the missing Subspace Emissary music or Victory Themes, as there is nothing available online that would do an adequate job of representing whatever those songs might've sounded like.

I hope you enjoy the music, and feel free to give me feedback!

There's another thing I noticed in the Kirby soundtrack from Brawl: Some of the songs are originally from the anime. Song F10, for example, is called Strong Star Warrior, which can be downloaded here: http://kirby.classicgaming.gamespy.com/multimedia/sounds/cate-anime.html

The song can also be heard in Kirby's Air Ride.

Yeah, Air Ride borrowed a bunch of tracks from the anime soundtrack. The commonly circulating SSBB tracklist has Akira Miyagawa as the original composer for F10 for that reason (I couldn't remember if Frozen Hillside was one of his, though, so the KAR sound team is listed for that one).

I find it very interesting that 'Beware the Mushrooms' was apparently going to be in the game (I mean, there is no confirmation, but it sounds very much like that was the case). Maybe people's hopes for Geno weren't totally far off.

A suggestion for the unused E04: Could it be the Gamecube version from Nintendo Puzzle Collection?
by EditorArtist at 12:32 AM EST on March 6, 2008
I tried to find recordings of Nintendo Puzzle Collection (since I read it's not possible to rip it at this point in time), but I wasn't successful. Anybody have any leads?

O.K., not to worry. I have the game, luckily, so I'll record one for you when I have the time.

Thank you agu fungus, I'm looking forward to hearing that version! You don't have to worry about adding a fadeout or anything, just record about 1.5 loops without SFX if possible and I can edit it and add more loops if needed. When you get around to it, could you upload it in lossless format (WAV, FLAC, or APE)?

Directly recorded from Sound Test. I might also do a Battle Mode medley.
