Thanks... I'll try SynthFont later

So the Banjo-Kazooie sf2 file is complete? Where's the Timpani then? Heck, where's any percussion whatsoever?
by punk7890 at 9:58 PM EST on December 1, 2011
Banjo Kazooie isn't my soundfont. It was handed to me as is so I assumed it was complete.

Updated OoT sf2. Now contains percussion and nature SFX.

Do keep in mind that it still won't sound like it should in game (there is currently no way of telling where correct instrument splits should go). I just placed them to what sounds right.

If you aren't planning on doing some more work on FF12 anytime soon I'd enjoy checking it out.

Thanks punk7890.

By the way, if you don't mind answering, from where do you get the instrument info? Assuming it's from the N64 sound tool, what does the hex end up converting to? Milliseconds or what? Just curious.
by punk7890 at 10:00 PM EST on December 3, 2011
@Bolt

I read all info from N64 sound tool. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by milliseconds.

@nothingtosay

FFXII soundfont (semi-complete).

Use windows calculator to convert if you need values in decimal.
by Bolt at 12:19 PM EST on December 4, 2011
What I mean is, say the Attack is $40, which is 64 in decimal; 64 what exactly? 64 milliseconds? 64 ticks? What are the units that relate to the numbers? Sorry if I'm still not making any sense/the answer is obvious.

I can upload your soundfonts on Woolyss if you want. It is for pleasure !... and free obviously ! This page (as pages of VST plugins and chiptrackers is famous !) ;)

@Bolt

I'm not sure. I never really understood attack/release time. They always have none realistic numbers.

@jikoo

Sure. If you want, you can upload the incomplete ones also.
