@punk7890: Oh okay, I guess you just set those parameters to what sounds good. The detune parameter would be a boon to know, but it doesn't seem to correlate to cents. Oh well. Thanks for the answers and the soundfonts, and sorry for derailing the thread a bit.

Great punk7890 ! Thanks a lot ! ;)

Have you got a website, a blog,... ?
I can add a link to "where you want". I found your myspace profile, newgrounds.com profile...

Tell me. Thank you very much.

@Bolt: No problem.

@jikoo: I didn't know I had a MySpace :P.

You can add http://glitchkill.proboards.com/ if you want.

@punk7890: I wrote a piece with your Ocarina of Time soundfont and thought I'd share it. Here it is in case anyone's interested. Thanks again for the useful sf2s punk7890, they're incredibly versatile.

Thanks to you both and thanks for listening; I'll definitely be writing more pieces with it very soon. The quality of the samples are great, and it's a versatile set of sounds, especially for orchestral purposes. Though I guess it's no surprise considering the game they come from. Looking forward to the soundfont's completion someday.

By the way, anyone know of a place where such things (original compositions using OoT's soundset, (or any game I suppose)) would be welcomed? Just thought I'd ask. It seems like remix sites are common, but the inverse idea of keeping the same sound to write original compositions aren't (8bc is the closest to this that I've found). Hope this isn't too off-topic.

I'm not really sure to be honest. You could always post them on my site if you'd like (link I posted earlier). As for a uploading community, I'm not sure.

If anyone's interested, I made this awhile back. Sort of related to topic. As for posting original compositions, I'll probably start uploading them to my YouTube and Newgrounds account soon.

As for the soundfont I would indeed like to complete it but its the best I can do for now as the format of the ctl is unknown (pitch, root key, instrument splits, etc).

Cool, I think I will sometime soon. Thanks for the suggestion. It's strange that not many sites like that exist. Guess there's not that big a demand for it.

Very well made cover of a great piece. I'll keep an eye on your channel.

Oh, is that all that's missing. That's not too bad, I thought there were still some missing instruments or something. Hopefully the format is discovered at some point.
