Tagging Hybrid Heaven by IceMan at 2:33 AM EDT on October 2, 2012
It's probably several years too late, but I began playing Hybrid Heaven again recently and thought I'd see if I could match the audio with the USF rip currently available. As I'm playing through (just made it to level 3), I've noticed there are a number of tracks missing from the set. For instance, you can enter a small storage room towards the beginning of level 1 and the music changes to something not found in the set.

Anyway, been documenting everything in a txt file, is there any particular way I should post up the information or should I just dump the contents of the txt file here when done?

OK, a little progress report:

26 tracks IDed (including 5 blank tracks).
19 tracks found missing from USF set so far. (notably, almost all level 3 tracks are missing with the exception of character themes)
40 tracks in-game noted (including the odd duplicate here and there, though made note of this in the notes)

Current progress through game: Starting Level 4
Total Number of Levels in game: 9

Progress update

28 tracks IDed (including 5 blank tracks)
35 tracks missing from USF set so far (some tracks have elements that are in the USF set, but they are not complete. There is a lot of musical layering going on in this game. Sometimes the base track is available in the USF track, but there is an added effect missing. You move to another area, and it adds a beat to the track, etc. I'm trying to note these in the missing tracks. I think what is available should be kept even if they are only indirectly used because some of the base tracks sound pretty neat if you are into ambient/soundscape music like me)
62 tracks in-game noted (all duplicates noted)

Current progress through game: Starting Level 5
Total Number of Levels in game: 9

Been busy lately, but have made some progress again today. :)

OK, this took nearly 3 weeks to tag, by I completed the game. This was a pain to tag because some tracks sound very similar to each other. I'll dump my notes here. I might be able to clean up these notes a little later on so there is a more direct ID of each sparse. Please excuse the occasional strange line break. I save the whole thing in notepad.

Correction for beginning portion: Diaz Fights the Guards = 81
Correction for level 9: Level 9-1 Level entrance = Sparse 10

[Edit: corrections made in original postings]

It is a known track

Some songs DO repeat (even the odd transition segments) Tried to keep my notes as detailed as possible even though this is a rather long game.

Here are the tracks I couldn't find while playing:

Sparse 7a
Sparse 7e
Sparse 8f
Sparse 16
Sparse 24
Sparse 36
Sparse 41
Sparse 65
Sparse 75
Sparse 78
Sparse 88
Sparse 92

(some of these may have elements of other tracks that were ID'd as missing from USF set, but by themselves, I couldn't find a place in the game where these tracks belong)

While this may not be 100% accurate and I may have missed something somewhere along the line, I think a bulk of the ID work is finished here.

Edit: I think I count around 66 tracks total that are missing from the original USF set if that gives people ideas on level of completion of the set.

I can't help you any, and have no particular attachment to this game or its music, but I'd just like to say that I appreciate the effort you put into this.

Wow, I didn't realize how incomplete it was, thanks for the extensive research. I don't know when I'll look at it again, is anyone else interested in taking a crack at it?
