Hello everybody, i'm trying to extract music from Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. I was able to extract the file adx2.cpk with utf_tab, now i'm left with an AWB file but i can't find a way to decrypt it. Here's the first 10mb of the file.
There are HCA files in that archive, and it's a new type of AFS (AFS2). I've been meaning to learn quickBMS, so either myself or someone else might be able to write an extractor at some point.
In the meantime, you can use vgmtoolbox to dump the HCA files out. Just throw this XML file in the plugins/AdvancedCutter folder.
Just make sure after you select HCA - ADX2 from the dropdown menu, you click Load. Then you can drag the AWB file into the Files to Search box. Check the CRI HCA thread in this forum and you'll find a first stage converter that works on these files.
The HCA converter gives me a little error, it converts the tracks but there is a little bit of noise at the end of every file. It's not really a problem (i can easily remove the noise with audacity), but i will report it to the CRI HCA thread.
I most likely screwed up with the XML then lol. There are some AWB archives that have ADX in them though, like the archives in PokePark 2. The best thing to do would be to check the archives in a hex editor and see what you can find.
