Ripping from an old game by Razp at 11:27 AM EDT on August 4, 2014
So I have probably spent the last month and a half on and off trying to figure out where the music is on an old PS1 game called Blasto. I made it far enough to extract from the XA files and used various players, but from those files I got nothing but the Dialogue from the game and the movies. If not in the XA files, where else would I have to look for the music and what would be my next step to there? I also double checked the .STR files just in case but still no go.

Thxx

Could be sequenced music. have you found anything on disc that is labeled .seq, .vh, .vb?

Edit: Yeah, it's probably sequenced from watching gameplay footage.

Yea late last night It occurred to me that it is Sequenced, and that last month I did get .SEP and .SEQ files using VGMToolBox but didn't know what to do with them or what they were at the time, though that's all I got so far. I went to bed n stuff to try to get a refreshed mind so I'll probably edit this when I'm hit with a stump again

...Well I managed to extract the files as Midi but they don't sound correct (not sure why) so I am definitely stumped, I guess I could try to learn how to make a .PSF is the next case, though I am still a novice at these things.

Vgmtoolbox is fully capable of making psf's. If you want something more recent, then use markgrass's generic psf utility (the above link)
