Knock Knock. Yes.

Yeah, they're playable.

Been in contact with MrBean.

"They are copyrighted. Regardless of whether Nintendo comes after us or not, that's not the point.

But, I do have an idea. If you are willing to send me your Mario Kart 8 disc, and an SD card, I will extract the BFSTMs (and any other data you want) from your disc to your SD card, and then send them back. That way I can get around any illegality, and you end up with the files and can do with them what you see fit. How does that sound?"

"They're obviously not different, but I CANNOT DISTRIBUTE THE FILES UNDER LAW. However, I have the right to own the BFSTM files, since I own the disc. Basically, if you send proof of ownership, (i.e. the disc), then I know you have the permission to own the files yourself, and will put them on a device for you. What YOU choose to do with them is up to you, but I am not distributing, end of story. But, as I said, I am willing to give you your own files. Take it or leave it."

How about you take this somewhere else?

Can't believe how entitled you are to think he owes you anything even more that he has to give you the files.

This should be in a different topic, but I just have something to say about what MrBean said.

Why is he saying that crap about "they are copyrighted" and that they can't distribute the files and so on, yet somehow they're allowed to distribute "everything except audio files"?

Why exactly is it "illegal" in his words, to distribute the audio files (or even at least upload a video to YouTube of say, one of the tunes, using one of the BFSTMs), yet somehow, uploading texture hacks is OK?

If the audio files are illegal, then the texture files are illegal. Right?

Anyway, hcs or someone should move all non-DKCTF posts to a new topic, if that's possible.

What's the matter now, Murray? He offers to give you the files if you send him your disc, so what's the hold up? Why talk crap behind his back when he's being reasonable. :S What are you guys, like 12?
by MurraySkull at 8:56 PM EDT on October 13, 2014
crediar, that is NOT what I think. Besides, I have asked NICELY, I have not demanded anything.

starerik, I am not sending my disc. I am going to try PMing him some pictures, though. Also, I am not talking crap about him, I am posting what he told me.

I think "but he won't stop spouting his garbage!" was a bit unneccesary.

By the way, try record a video instead, saying like "sup Bean". Even if you photograph yourself, he can't know for sure that the guy in the photo is you.

I've edited that out.

Also, I meant pictures of my disc and accompanying documentation.

I know that, and that's what I was talking about as well.

Ocean_Octopus_Tension.ddsp and Ocean_Poppers.ddsp are not the same tune. One is "Irate Eight (Tension)", the other is for "Rockin' Relics" (respectively).
