ATRAC playback in Winamp by VGMfreak at 6:49 PM EST on February 16, 2015
Hi all, I was able to convert some PS3 MSF files into AT3 files and they play fine in Winamp with the Nullsoft DirectShow plugin, is it possible to configure looping/fadeout options in Winamp or would some other program/plugin be required to do this? Thanks.
Hi Kirishima, is there any program that can extract/detect the looping points from the original AT3s? I was planning to do it manually in Audacity if nothing else works.
Well, there's a foobar at3 plugin that works for at3+ (although I've experienced some problems). For the old Atrac codec, I've uploaded it here: http://www.multiup.org/download/dd6aa281fff5afeb721f0a5464270d83/Atrac3.7z. Use the inf file to install. In the Winamp preferences, add AT3 to the list in the DirectShow Decoder (under input).
I've used Winamp much longer than foobar2000, but I was thinking that foobar would work, so that's why vgmstream for Winamp hasn't been updated recently. Thanks guys.
When last tried playing Vampire\Darkstalkers Chronicles at3's in foobar when I had vgmstream installed for it, they didn't play. Don't have installed now because it makes foobar use one of the 2 cpu cores in my laptop.
