Spit out looping .wav files from vgmstream? by robotortoise at 6:59 PM EDT on April 7, 2015

"foobar2000 itself can't export looping WAV files. However, you can use a script with something like foo_run to pass the loop points to an external tool that can write the smpl chunk."

Could someone please write that script for me? I'm working on the music for a Team Fortress 2 map, and it would be a tremendous help if a tool could automatically spit out looping .wav files from a .bcstm file.

Uncomment line 37, and change .brstm .bcstm. Remove line 38. Make sure test.exe is in your path, or run this script in the same folder, and make sure the bcstm file is in there as well.

Thanks so much soneek!

Although the .lwav file now will loop in foobar, it won't show the loop points in Goldwav. It'll show them in Wavosaur, but that doesn't allow me to convert it to the Microsoft ADPCM 1 codec.....or resample it to 44100Hz.

Oy vey.

Thanks so much though, soneek!

smpl chunks should work in most trackers, or at least OpenMPT. No guarantee it will work in sound editors.
