Sonic Runners Sound Files. by Sodisna at 5:12 PM EDT on May 7, 2015

I managed to get the sound files, which I think are adx2. When I convert them to wav, they come out fuzzy. Is there a current way to get to come out clean? I read something about an XOR key? I ran guessadx and it said it doesn't appear to be encrypted.

Until the files can be decrypted, yep.

dunno if any progress has been made for Sonic Runner's audio since the game has been abandoned recently. :/

There's a tool here that might be able to reverse the XOR but no one's compiled it to test it.

Decryption key is 00000000012FCFDF, here is the decrypted sound files Link.

Would you please explain how you got that decryption key so more XOR'd HCA files can be decrypted :)

Edit: Just solved the mystery regarding this key.

The first Sonic game was released on June 23, 1991

Convert 00000000012FCFDF from hexadecimal to decimal and you get "19 91 06 23"

Pretty neat SEGA.
