BFSAR files by LaniKai at 10:07 PM EDT on June 14, 2015
So I downloaded the folder for New Super Mario Bros U, and it comes with a single .bfsar file.

I know inside the file, it contains all the music and such. The only problem is, I don't know how to extract them all. I apologize for creating a new thread and asking if the answer was already posted somewhere, but I'd appreciate any help.

To extract files from a .bfsar, you need to use VGMToolBox's advanced cutter tool. Luckily for us, soneek was awesome and created presets, so all you have to do is load the presets and drag the files. Since the original uploads are gone (supposedly), I've mirrored them here. That should be all you need to unpack the files. Also, in this particular case, NSMBU stores sound effects along with the music, so you'll need to do some digging. Look for files around the ~7000-10000KB range.

Thanks a lot for the directions and presets! I've been wanting to extract those files for awhile and must have missed the discussion on how to do it.
