While we are on the subject of GBS/GSF conversions, I think that there is a bug in Highly Advances V0.11. Every time I play a GSF, all of the GSF entires in the Winamp playlist flash erratically as if the tag is repeatedly being refreshed. This causes a slight delay when switching from a GSF file.

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to fix it? Thanks.

I have a similar problem when I play Wario ware twisted (J) the music is slow and always shutters and gets extremely annoying. This also happens on a few others.

Ok, so who exactly ripped the SMB2 prototype and Galaga NSFs?

edit: There are two versions of SMB2 floating around, the one here has two extra tracks of earth shaking sounds.

edit: Ok, Chris Covell ripped it and ugetab modified it? I already tagged the original file

Lagrange Point NSFE up at you-know-where. Enyoj?

(Note the version up has a track missing from the playlist; I just caught this mistake and the corrected version should be up soon.)

The Trouble with NSFS by unknownfile at 1:25 AM EDT on June 15, 2007
I got Visual Studio 7, and I'm going about improving NotSoFatso... but there are problems on the horizon:

- The GPL license. I can't take any accurate emulation code without GPL'ing it, and I can't release the program unless it's GPL'd as well. Ironically, some code isn't GPL'd...

- The VRC7 isn't close to what it should be. Instead of emulating our friendly YM2413-derrivative, Notsofatso is instead emulating a YM3812... maybe because it needs stereo, who knows, but either way, this emulation core needs a complete steamroller.

- Too lazy to try and come up with a clean solution. This could result in a bastardized Notsofatso, but whatever.

There are some other things that could use improvements like

Patch Game Genie - So you can play your NSfs with a music GG code for remixed music?

Switchable Vrc7 engines?
Switchable Vrc6 engines?

Channel pitch controller?

Oh and include a DMC/PCM ripper, not only standard DMC but raw PCM.

VRC6 emulation is perfect as is... it doesn't need any improvement.

Why is this? The VRC6 outputs raw PCM from the audio section of the chip, so emulation is 100% accurate. The VRC7 however has its output run through a mixer (YM2413 chips output one channel at a time) so emulation is hard to do.

As for the rest of those feature requests....I'm not too sure what to say about them

ANYWAYS: you can snatch the latest build here. The modifications aren't GPL'd, so if anyone complains they can just go fuck themselves.
