Damn, right on cue, I was using a track from Madara for something and it's nice to have a proper trackname. Also this one seems to have more tracks than the other NSF.
notsofatso project returns by unknownfile at 4:11 PM EDT on July 15, 2007
i have implemented the ym2413 core into notsofatso but there are bugs and stuff i have yet to fix:

- volume controls
- stereo abilities
- amplification of the damn quiet sound the opll emulator generates
- emulation without interfering with all of the other sound chips

It appears that the official NEZPlug++ page is no longer available. Did it move?

I think the Romancia NSF needs a fix. In the track "Opening Gate of Romancia" (track 10 on the NSF currently up at Akumu's archive), for some reason most of the instruments kind of die as it loops for the first time. All of the other tracks are okay, though.

Notsofatso!

This is based off of Drag's latest build and includes support for the new YM2413 emulator. Stereo settings are somewhat screwy so be gentle with 'em or the output will come out weird.

And muting and volume controls don't work...yet.

Tried it, crashes on every VRC7 NSF I try to play.

Also, I noticed there's no longer a + or - in the panning option. It just goes from 1-255.

I guess I missed the reason that you are trying to add YM2413 support to Notsofatso. I see that it has something to do with VRC7 NSFs, but aren't they already supported?
by Richter X at 5:17 PM EDT on July 19, 2007
It's supported, but doesn't sound too good. Which is why he's putting on Okazaki's YM2413 core. For some reason, NotSo Fatso originally used a YM3812 core to handle VRC7.
by Mouser X at 9:13 PM EDT on July 19, 2007
Disch implemented VRC7 support before they knew what chip it used. Yes, it's that old. That's why he's got the wrong chip in his player. anewuser brought it up in #usf. You can check the logs...

I haven't tried out the new NotsoFatso, but nice job UF! I might have to try it out. Mouser X over and out.
