We did not have to proceed to the Hilton for check in and contest sign up until much later in the day, so we decided to take advantage of being in the city to do some tourism. Our first intended desitnation was the Imperial Palace, but the parts we were interested in were closed on Monday.
On Jun's recommendation we then headed off to the Meiji Shrine and spent some hours walking the grounds.
By this time we were quite hungry, so we walked through the city and found a place to eat.
We proceeded by train and monorail to the Hilton which would be our home for the rest of the week.
