Tron - Evolution (2010-12-07)(Propaganda Games)(Disney Interactive Studios): while it has twice less omega#_c style tracks than the next one (11063225 & 1040172572 a.k.a. "The end of everything" if you wanna jump straight to them to get a hang of what I`m talking 'bout) it`s still pretty good.

Marvel Ultimate alliance (2006-10-24)(Raven Software)(Activision): a great and pretty diverse original soundtrack by quite a few composers and each of them has also scored at least a single comics superhero VG solo IE without any collaborators involved. Has many "The outfit"-type of quad XMA1s although in this case they`re 2 different layers instead of mere 4 separate mono channels per each track. The 1st one is usually ambient music + ambience SFX and the 2nd one is clean fight track.

X-Men - The Official Game (2006-05-16)(Z-Axis, Ltd.)(Activision): a score written by Chance Thomas, one of 4 collaborators from the above title and while it`s not nearly as varied in styles as MUA I think it`s still worth checking out. BTW He probably did most compositions in MUA.

TimeShift (2007-10-30)(Saber Interactive)(Sierra Entertainment): yet another great industrial score by author of "Perseus mandate" section of my FEAR: Files set. Her name`s Rebecca Knuebuhl and these two are not her only works. BTW session musician`s name was Gabriel Mann on this score and he did all those guitar parts in most tracks.

So who`s interested in any of those? I can even rename actual files to match a set name if it`s such an issue for somebody but as I said I`d try to avoid blowing cover off our regular operations as much as possible ;) that`s why I can`t let the archives lay around with really detailed information contained in their respective titles.

PS. This is gotten off X360 versions as almost all my recent rips.

PPS. There`s going to be a break lasting for a week or two and I truly mean it this time he-he! Bye!

As you can easily see I initially listed 'em all down almost two months ago but that way no one seemed to be interested enough to specifically request any of those. I guess now it`d be way easier for anyone interested to track his beloved score down if he`s too shy to post a request here (no pun intended).

Bye, I hope someone makes some use out of these sets and I`d be particularly honored if any of them made their way to HCS VGM Archives in the end. Take care!

PS. Sorry for my typical deep undercover file naming schedule ;) . I assure you I`ll utilize something better understandable in the future but for now I left all those ancient and not quite old archives as they originally were. And I can assure you of proper links insertion this time!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2ND GENERATION OF RIPS:

Transformers - The Game (2007-06-26)(Traveller's Tales)(Activision) for X360: SS / ZS - this serves as the best example of my new generation of rips (at least hosting site -wise).

WWE 2K15 (2010-14-28)(Yuke's)(2K Sports) for PS3: SS / ZS part 1 & 2 - the most recent game I`ve ripped in quite a while but as you may guess I have some kind of a crack (still) in regards to some annual VG sports series like this frachise as well as MotoGP...

Call of Juarez - The Cartel (2011-07-19)(Techland)(Ubisoft) for X360: SS part 1 & 2 / ZS part 1 & 2 & 3 - it`s been nice revisiting the most expected evolution of "Bound in blood" score especially after me almost surely missing some tracks on PS3 only because of those god damn Atrac3 mono encoded sound files. Argh!

Enjoy!

X360:

Call of Juarez (2007-06-07)(Techland)(Ubisoft): SS & ZS - up to this point I`ve only experienced a little bit of this relatively small score having tried out only PC Demo rip plus I was a bit reluctant to possibly discover the most boring soundtrack in the series as some said but luckily enough the thing turned out to be significantly better than I initially anticipated while being quite reminiscent of some previous works by the composer whose courtesy this music is. I`m talking about Chrome and even its addon to be explicit in this exact regard.

Sniper - Ghost Warrior (2010-06-29)(City Interactive): SS & ZS - other than game structure surprisingly similar to that of CoJ3 IE The cartel this one has too little stuff to write home about both in terms of actual musical score and ripping routine but nonetheless he it is. One sometimes has to train on such smaller things I guess...

Conan (2007-10-23)(Nihilistic)(THQ): SS part 1 & 2 & ZS part 1 & 2 - just to spice things up I revisited a score I originally listened to many many years ago and pretty expectedly didn`t like a single track out of it at that time. My own reasoning apart from its initial ripper recommendation (who compared it to your typical GoW score although it sounds a bit too modern to me for such a description but maybe only a few samples from NeverDead or a few other titles give me such an impression) to give it a try was pretty weird too but it`s of no actual importance in this case. What matters here is that quite a few years after I gained a considerable interest in more or less pure ethnic / traditional music which made this soundtrack look way more appealing to me than it did at first glance of mine. Not to mention that as time passed by I came across a number of VG titles whose music is courtesy of this game`s composer Mike Reagan so it made for another perfect excuse to (re)discover some more works by him. Anyway let`s finally get to what has to be specifically noted about this streamed rip and first of all it`s somewhat unexpected main music codec utilized by devs there at Nihilistic studios. It`s IMA ADPCM and also multichannel on numerous occasions ranging from simple quad to 6 channel usually comprised of 3 distinct stereo layers therefore I hope you excuse me for providing original banks as they`re. In the end one can always split those into a single-track styled ones with FSBii and / or extract their contents using FSBExt. Most audio tracks coming from those FSBs are easily playable in case of stereo ones (19/30) with VGMStream or at least correctly decodable by ToWAV (the latter can be applied to most remaining ones IE 1/2 4ch ones as well as 7/9 6ch ones as for some reason such a procedure doesn`t go so smoothly for a very few remaining tracks). Be the latter trouble a screwup on FSBii`s side or some fault of ToWAV which last update happened years ago this is how it is and that`s why I`m forewarning you of any possible obstacles in this way.

Wanted - Weapons of Fate (2009-03-24)(GRIN)(Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment): SS part 1 & 2 & ZS part 1 & 2 & 3 - finally bring in the big guns! I mean involve the biggest players in the game. A really interesting score with greater part of score in lossless quality (although it seems to be this way on all the platforms and even a single Vorbis encoded track is shared among them all however I haven`t specifically checked it... yet). I`d even call the longest compositions suites as they typically change their pace and mood many times as track is played back. Be sure to check the whole thing out!

After almost a week of continuous listening to VGM Archives newest additions all courtesy of Alpha23 it`s finally time to give something back I guess so here it is:

Wheelman (2009-03-24)(Tigon)(UbiSoft) for X360: SS part 1 & 2 + ZS part 1 & 2 & 3 - what more can one possibly wish for when entire package is here already? Pretty slick score by two different studios including RedNote audio: check; a reasonable amount of APM tracks: included; quite diverse compilation of other licensed music: even it`s here too! Isn`t such a soundtrack a genuine god`s gift? Anyway how about letting both composed original score as well as licensed stuff talk for themselves?

Goodbye and of course huge thanks to Knurek for going through such a mass of sets and ultimately archiving them somewhere around (I hope they`re here for eternity now)!

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 (2009-10-20)(Yuke's)(THQ) for X360: SS & ZS - a task to find origins of those SFX used in SvR 2011 and partially recycled in WWE 2K15 (!) had mostly scientific (or academical if you will) nature in my eyes but in the process of ripping this title I also (re)discovered a bunch of quite rare themes belonging to participants who surely do NOT appear in each year reiteration of the series. I`d easily list down at least 10 such entrance musics but is it really needed ;) ? Oh and did I mention that it appears as even SVR '10 isn`t a said origin of such audio files as "Chamber light" or "Chamber down" which you can definitely find in my package (and WWE 2k15 rip as well)? It seems I`ll have to dig way deeper to discover the first SDvR installment where these beloved SFX pieces originally appeared but don`t expect it anytime soon. Isn`t 4 wrestling games in less than 2 months a bit too much? Not to mention that I still have 2 big if not AAA titles awaiting to be ripped and for sure I will come around processing both... sometime in foreseeable future. Fact is that both VGs I`m talking about even have a respective Gibbed unpacker project dedicated to each of them so now you see the scale of these titles!

Bye!

@SunClonus: I'll re-up them soon. I have to find my local sets.

Yes, I'm desperate to decrypt the FSB files for Mirror War. I need that Sakuraba music...I've only been able to get the 2 default Sakuraba songs, but nothing from the expansion. I'll let you know if I figure anything out.
