Also, I don't think that any of the request choices should be removed when a prelim is completed, rather, only when it is tagged and given the official "complete" link. A few other people agree with me considering that games such as banjo-kazooie are given votes, despite the prelims already being complete (unless they don't know about the prelims being complete for some reason).

Yeah, that's how I feel too. I've kept some of my votes for games, even after they've gone up; I wait until I feel that they're "complete".

That's your prerogative, do whatever the hell you want with your vote. I'll continue to delete them when rips are announced.

There's a USF of Cruisin World and Cruisin USA?

I think it means he wants it ripped, hcs.

I think HCS realizes that. I think the real issue here is that for some reason, Sabrewulf associates music from N64 games with USF files, and that they are one and the same. While this is somewhat true on the surface, there's a lot more to be known here. For one thing, N64 music doesn't have to be USF, it could be in MP3 (though usually much larger in size) or even midi (if done well enough).

There's also the fact that, realisticly, USFs aren't actually music files, but that they're actually N64 applications that run a file stored on the ROM, and the result that comes out is audio which we interpret as music. Boy, that's a run on sentence...

Anyway, if you couldn't tell, I'm a little bored. Mouser X over and out.

I think that the poor guy just isn't very good at English.

I've heard people ask this about PSF, "I can't find any PSF files on the game disk". The assumption seems to be that the files are already there and all we do is put them online.
I've tried to avoid making the statement "USF is N64 music" to prevent this sort of confusion, but others have said it and that may be the cause of this mindset relating to USF as well.
by PdZ at 3:00 PM EDT on October 4, 2005
Well...

Why is that a problem? If someone only download the Plugin and download the music and if he/she has a request, he don't may to know what usf is.He relates USf to N64 Music. It does not make a big difference.
Or does it?

Many people here know, that usf is a format and that the tunes are only a chunk of code which contains the data for an transducer. The result is our beloved N64 Music..

I think that the poor guy just isn't very good at English.

This could also be...
Iam also not very good in english..
It's deja vu all over again! by Yoshinkeru at 6:09 PM EDT on October 6, 2005
Say HCS, I think you should clean up the USF central set table; it lists CBFD twice.
