If you've got an Intel Mac, Winamp works pretty well via Darwine. Tiger and Leopard versions are available here.

DarWINE is what CrossOver runs on right?
Because, I once tried Winamp with that..
And plugins wouldn't work :(.

- Yeah, Crossover is just Wine with extra features. I'm not sure why you are having difficulty, as I can get Winamp running reasonably well under OSX 10.4, with most vgm plugins running fine. Maybe try an older version? I know that for me, Winamp 2.x is significantly more stable than 5.x (and it still runs all modern plugins).

- You can get old versions of Winamp here. 2.95 seems to be the most stable on a Mac.

These are based on the in-game sound test. The last three tracks are labeled "(unused)" in the sound test, although I'm pretty sure I heard one of them during the game. Eh? Anyway, a decent soundtrack for a decent game. For those who are into retro remixes (that's everyone here, right?) tracks 13, 40, and 45 are each remixes of the main theme from the original NES (arcade?) game.
