Does "foo_external_tags" solve the age-old problem of needing to use a CUE sheet to split single file FLAC CD rips but also needing to use individual FLAC files when a CUE sheet is not present?
Other than the obvious benefit of separating metadata from data, this problem is solved by converting all library tags (and CUE sheets) to m-TAGS and excluding any other file extension. Is there a better solution?
