vgmstream: .txtp bit depth by MusicMantis at 3:16 PM EDT on October 10, 2021
Hi. I've got a series of layered audio files that are each 96000hz, 24-bit. When I load them up using vgmstream (I use foobar2000, but also tested using test.exe) it layers them as 96000hz, 16-bit. I'd like to preserve the source bit depth.

Looking a little bit closer, when loading up a single 24-bit audio file via .txtp (no additional commands, just "path\to\file.flac") it still outputs 16-bit despite no additional processing taking place.

Is this a limitation of vgmstream? Is is possible to preserve the full bit depth of the source files using it?

vgmstream can only output 16-bit ATM, unrelated to txtp.

This will probably be fixed in the future, may take a bit though.
