That's straight from JoshW's fingers (he typed it in #USF). He's tried to rip it, but it's really very broken, apparently. As far as I'm aware, there hasn't been any major progress on it recently.
That's quoted from a post I made in the guest book, when someone asked the same question. Even with the new version of 64th Note (that allows Gauntlet Legends to play), Turok 2 is still really messed up. In other words, it's either beyond Josh's ability rip/repair it, or it's just not currently emulated properly. If it's the emulator problem, then it's going to take a long time to fix, I'd bet. If it's the other (Josh can't rip or repair it (repair it to bypass emulation/ripping issues)), then it's probably not going to be accurately ripped anytime soon at all.
Also of importance, is the fact that Josh is busy with school. He's also busy (though, not at this time because of school) with the MSF format (which is supposed to be an arcade format). So, I wouldn't hold your breath on this set if I were you.
Sorry to disappoint, but hopefully that adequately answers your question. Mouser X over and out.
What about the PC version? That features a Redbook audio soundtrack, unless you value your own loop count and fade time enough to bother recording, timing, and cleaning up your own recordings. When you could just downl^Wpurchase the PC version and rip the audio tracks out instead.
You know, if you're interested, I happen to have the PC version, and I could just rip the tracks for you. I also wrote a fix to get the music working under Windows XP, and any other versions of Windows where MCI device handles are thread and not process specific.
I cannot answer that since I have not played the N64 version. I did enjoy playing it, and having native mouse+keyboard controls did help a bit.
Although, somehow, I managed to enjoy the original Turok: Dinosaur Hunter for N64 even with the console controls. Then again, that was before I really had any PC first person shooters. I kind of jumped on the Doom bandwagon a bit late, and discovered the mouse and keyboard combination much later. I thought I was cool strafing around in Doom with my Gavis gamepad. :)
Found the PC version, it is about the same as the N64 version, better graphics and the music is probably better.
Now I remember why that game annoyed me so much, spent a couple of hours on the first map wandering around and getting pissed at trying to end the map.

I had no idea there was a PC compatible version of Turok 2. Is it official? Where may I obtain this?
