I don't know where to get to all those bonus areas here, and didn't know they were uploaded... but if anything, if the X8 betas haven't been added, those could be added to the X8 in a separate folder, like the way my mp3s are set up.
Also, yeah, I listened to the X7 psf2 rip, and there really is something wrong with it. It's liek the main sound is way off to the left and makes it sound really bad. No offense, UF, but thanks anyway. I wonder if PSF2 is the only option or if those are streamed as well and can be ripped and played in a different format. I might check it out myself.
I'm liking this in_cube plugin, though. Listening to Timesplitters 2 music... fuckin awesome.
Now I'm left with a a few conundrums in how to get music out of certain files, like even though Ratchet and Clank 2 is set up as .wad files, which are listed in the file types as playabe in winamp now, they aren't playable at all. Everything is set up as a wad file, including the music.
Another one is getting the music out of this .dat file from Wild Arms 3. Someone said that someone had gotten the music just fine once, but it was a 450Mb size download, so it was never really made. I think they also said it was in ADX format.

I already knew about the XA streams in those other games, and had been using this japanese shareware program to try to get music rips from some PS games, though its sound quality sucks ass in those rips. Maybe in_cube will do a better job in that department.
For one, you should be using VGMstream, not in_cube. If you really do want in_cube though, I strongly suggest installing VGMstream (in_vgmstream.dll) and renaming in_cube to "in_zube.dll" or something similar, to make sure it loads last. This way, you have VGMstream installed (which is tremendously better than in_cube in some important ways), and can still play the formats that aren't yet implemented in VGMstream.
The other thing I'd like to say is that *.WAM, *.WAC, *.WAD, and *.WAA support are for Beyond Good and Evil for the NGC. The WAD files from Ratchet And Clank are a virtual file system. They store many many files. As such, they have no resemblance to the BG&E WAD files in anyway whatsoever. Also, all of the Ratchet and Clank games have been ripped. They just have a very limited distribution pool right now. Use FastElbJa's tool to rip them (and XA files, and many many other PSX/2 formats).
Wild Arms 3 has also been ripped (twice, I think). It can be found with the Ratchet and Clank rips. And it's not ADX. Unfortunately, I don't have permission to say much more than that ("It's a secret to everybody" and that sort of thing). I could upload them to HCS's site, except that I have terrible upload speeds, and (this is the kicker) I don't currently have internet access on my PC.
If I didn't make myself clear, I very strongly suggest you check out FastElbJa's tool, linked above. It's been used to rip literally hundreds of games (I think they're currently totaling 180 GB). Also, if you have additional questions, it would be very wise to join the IRC chatroom "#console_stream" on the "irc.foreverchat.net" server. This webclient has worked great for me, if you need a method available to join.
Marioman: It wouldn't hurt for you to check out that IRC channel either, hint hint (I can't help you, since I'm online so rarely, but someone there might be able to). The channel is intended to help people rip streamed music. I'm not sure how far they'll extend past that, but it can't hurt to ask (I think?). Mouser X over and out.
I have all the Ratchet and Clank and Wilds Arms 3, so I can rip them myself, if that tool works. I just have to ask, though, does that tool have at least some simple gui? I really hate the dos command scripts that rarely seem to work properly for some reason, that's why I ask. Some work, some don't, and half I've used are explained about as detailed as a 3rd grader trying to explain quantum theory (as in, take a guess at how you think you're supposed to use it and maybe you'll get it a tiny bit right).
As for IRC, I might reinstall mirc sometime, I just never got around to it or had much of a reason (simple and works for me).
Finally, how come I haven't heard of VGMstream, only heard of in_cube, and where's the main place to go to get it at? So far, in_cube has played everything I've used perfectly, so what's the difference between them aside from what formats they play?
I'll use VGMstream if it's better than in_cube, but I'd just like to know what makes it better, exactly.
vgmstream releases are announced on this forum, the project itself is hosted on sourceforge here. You can download a winamp plugin there, the windows executables are in a file called vgmstream-rXXX-test.zip, where XXX is some revision number. You'll want the highest number. Be sure to read the readme.
DChronos, i don't think that you can rip Wild Arms 3 correctly! (please don't take it personally)
It took me much time to calculate the loops for this set and it's still not 100% perfect yet... Knurek re-rips my previous rip into the GENH format, cause WA3 uses a headerless format, you should wait until it's finished and in hcs' "bonus" folder...

Actually, I'm not sure about the ripping part itself, but I can loop anything. Trust me, I've been looping my own VG music finding the exact loop points in the waveforms and creating my own in-cakewalk-only wave loops for a long time. I was planning on creating a longer looped Sonic CD Japan soundtrack for myself, and was creating a longer looped soundtrack out of the music from Tetris Plus.
That is, I was doing it in cakewalk only, but I've also created a few wave loops in creative's wave editor, finding the points and doing it that way, too. Also used Auacity. I created a few wave files that I can play in winamp on single track gapless loop and it will loop flawlessly in winamp from end to beginning if you created it right.
I'd love to help you figure out the loops. I can be a great help if I have them converted as wave, and your loop only depends on a number (think Audacity, your cursor point and stuff, that's how I'm seeing these ADX files working). I can find out the exact start and end loop numbers for you to use. Believe me, I have a damn good ear for sound.
I'll try and see what I can do if I use that tool this weekend, but like I said, I'd love to help you loop those, and if there is a rip somewhere, I might pop into IRC and ask for a megaupload of it or something as a multi-part RAR file. That is, only if I can't rip at least non looped ones myself. There has to be something telling the game where to loop.
OH, and on a side note, I have to make mention of one of the songs in game that is actually not properly looped. The first Abyss song actually has a slight pop if you listen to it in game. It isn't looped properly, so if you mess with it, keep that in mind. Listen for the pop and adjust it so it's gone if you still have it doing that. The loop point is made obvious by that pop, it's at the 3rd low sounding trumpet notes (the trumpet notes that ARE the start of the song).
