- I know there are some jukebox rips, but I want to rip ALL the music.
So, does anybody know how to open RRR/RRR2's *.wam files?
- by wolupgm6 at 5:16 AM EDT on August 16, 2008
- believe me, i wish i knew... they seem to be in a similar format to the raw wavs i ripped from rayman 3 a while ago... maybe they're encrypted pcms?

- and good job with revolution and r3. they sound great. but track 2 of r3 appears to be and invalid link.

- Thanks! I didn't rip R3 though ( I ripped them in mono by accident, but the stereo version is way better )... :)
And encrypted pcms... maybe.
I think someone said that it looked like Gamecube ADPCM earlier. What's also kinda odd is that the filenames are the same as in the game Beyond Good & Evil ( there are *.wam, *.waa and *.wad files in both games ), and both games use the same engine, the JADE engine. So maybe those formats are similar?
I don't know, really. Can't recognize anything in it... They seem to have a normal RIFF wave header though, but the file only plays silence. :(

- you're right.
only plays silence... only plays silence... only plays silence... only plays silence...
I've got it! convert to mp3 or wav, then amplify using mp3gain or audacity...
also the rayman 3 rip is really good, but anything with andré in it stuffs up. i think its the accent on the e makes the link invalid. track 2, and now 11. dont work. i'm working my way through downloading them, though with only a 100mb limit left i may not test them all.
and dont worry about that mono rip. until you mentioned it, i never knew. and this is coming from someone who burnt a cd and listened to it night and day. i still have your rip somewhere on my mess of a harddisk
oh, and the wad files in bg&e, were they maps? i never got around to analising them (i only did the *.wam and *.waa files)

- Is ANYONE working on Raving Rabbids 2?
- by Droolie at 5:37 AM EDT on August 20, 2008
- I would be if I found out how to open those files.
@wolupgm6: That won't do it. The files are also meant to be a whole song, and they only play for not even a second. :(
I dunno about the wad files really, never got to analysing it myself either. When I got into ripping, Rahly's decoder was already released. ;)
Oh, and the problem with the Rayman 3 rip has been fixed, by the way.
