Just when I thought everything on the Wii was great, the automatic updater for the Homebrew Channel wiped my SD card full of emulators and roms, neatly organized.

I think it was the HackMii portion of the bundled installer that sucked because it left an error dump on my vacant SD card complete with file system errors.

Quality.

OpenJazzWii is a buggy pile of poo. I'd stay away from it for awhile.

Ripping discs by jurassicPieter at 3:48 AM EDT on July 10, 2009
ripping discs is easy with ftpii and dvdx. All you need is ftp and rip individual files from the disc or a iso of the disc.

A WARNING TO ANYONE WHO USES A REMOVABLE DEVICE WITH HOMEBREW ON IT:

Back It Up! There is a chance that everything will be wiped, and if you have a 'SD card full of emulators and roms, neatly organized', it would be nice to be able to restore this quickly. Sorry for your loss, SmartOne.

Also, recently I managed to create an ISO of many of my Wii and GC games (they open with WiiTools and GC-Tool respectively), so my ISOs definitely work. Does anyone know how to get them playing on the Wii? I have tried using GeckoOS 1.07 with DVDx installed on IOS36, IOS249 and just a normal install, but without successful results. Any ideas?
