- dont worry about apologies. I've selected banjo kazooie many times in the past too. ^_^
I didnt know that the person who originally ripped it had to be the one to okay the completed status.
So, assuming the reason he hasnt okayd its completed status is because of multiple versions of the same world themes, then what can be done to fix this? It cant be that hard to rip all the different versions of the same track and include them in the zip file for the fans to choose if they want them or not.

- From what I've gathered, it's not exactly hard, but it is very time consuming. And, occasionaly, it is difficult to rip the separate tracks, because the game doesn't always respond the way you expect it to. A direct quote from HCS: "the most difficult part in my experience has been finding what instruments need to be silenced"
Also of important note (and a quote) "IIRC Banjo Kazooie used the standard sequencer, so if you look through it it should be possible to find the bit I hacked in Conker's" (from IRC with HCS). So, if you're willing, you *might* give it a try yourself. Though, you might need some additional information. If that's the case, feel free to ask. However, HCS will be away for a bit, so you might not get an easy answer soon. Josh or UNKNOWNFILE might be able to answer any questions you have, though.
Something else to keep in mind is that the original ripper might not be reachable anymore (Parasyte comes to mind for this), so even if you complete the set/rip out the separate files, the set might not obtain completed status, because the permission to do so cannot be recieved. However, I'm fairly certain that someone42 can be reached still, so final release for Banjo-Kazooie is possible, I'd think.
Hopefully this has been useful information. Good luck on anything you attempt. Again, feel free to ask any question you may have. Mouser X over and out.
[EDIT] A quote from Josh: "banjo tooie had the value in A1 of the music function... and the values, I just loaded different levels and logged the values" to which HCS said "ah, might be even easier, then" I suggest you read someone42's ripping guide, at zophar.net, or HCS's ripping stuff, linked to in the USF FAQ.

- I have deleted that request. Even I don't like seeing the request section spammed.

- It's been half a year since i gave you those tagged and timed banjo tooie list.
What happened josh, forget? ^_^
- by Mouser X at 7:57 AM EST on February 12, 2007
- No, he didn't. He didn't rip the set. He doesn't have permission (and neither does HCS) to release it. The original ripper is the person you'd need to contact to get permission to release that set. It's why it hasn't been released. A number of tags and times have been received since it was first ripped. But the original ripper has wanted the set optimized better before it was released. This optimization has not yet been done/completed, as I recall. As such, it's unlikely that this set will see a release. Until that's taken care of, you'll have to take it as is, and apply the tags yourself.
Hopefully I've explained this sufficiently. Mouser X over and out.
- in that case by ner'zhul at 10:15 AM EST on February 12, 2007
- it might be a good idea to change the name of the "ripper" on the front page to something other than "Josh W", because that might give people false impressions. :)

- is josh too busy to finish BT right now; on vacation?
I saw that kazooie was finally finished, which is cool, but why stop there?

- From #usf:
<UNKNOWNFILE> also, banjo tooie can't be released as the dynamic patches are too screwy
<UNKNOWNFILE> the tempo is fucked up
____________
That's why. Apparently, it still needs work. Hope that answers that. Mouser X out.

- I have a question: Does that mean a clean Banjo-Tooie USF rip is being worked on at the moment? I'm not too good at comprehending words, sadly, so I can't tell.
If so, I'll leave the forums alone and wait, I'm not trying to beg or plead. I'm just wondering if a complete Banjo-Tooie rip is being worked on; by that, I mean like that compared to the recently-released Banjo-Kazooie rip.
Thanks in advance.

- To my knowledge, there are no USF rips in progress at this time. HCS is busy with school (and other stuff), UF is busy with the NDS format stuff, as well as the fact that he's doing stuff to his Gamecube, and I very rarely see Josh. If Josh has something up his sleeve (he might, who knows?) he hasn't said anything about it.
Personally, I wouldn't hold your breath on a Banjo Tooie rip at this time. Due to its weirdness, it sounds to me like it'd need to be ripped (reripped?) by Josh or HCS, since they're the ones with the most experience.
This is probably not the answer you were looking for. Sorry about that, but it looks like "life" is taking over for the time being. Mouser X over and out.
