It's directly taken from Ocarina. Different thing.

no, it is note for note, taken from some guys hard work remixing the ocarina of time version.

now tell me they aren't the same. nintendo just used a optimized wavetable synthesis for this song.

Considering that ALL the MIDIs in VGMusic's archive sound like that, I'd say it's not a rip-off, but rather the VGM MIDI is very accurate. (I don't know the original song so I can't say how close they are, but all the VGMusic MIDIs do seriously sound like that one you linked to, so I'm guessing that's just what the original sounded like ...)

your assuming the sound of the original on a site that HAS the original for you to listen to? O_O

you can see that the midi i linked to and the brawl music are a closer match then the brawl music and the original LOZ:oot music.

Umm you fool, they used a new soundfont on the sequence from OoT. Not from a MIDI. If you actually listen to the MIDI, the guy who sequenced it didn't even get the opening interval right. The real version has a fifth where he has a minor second.

P.S. The MIDI isn't a remix either.

wait, your right, my ears deceived me! fogive me master.

the tempo in the midi and in brawl are a closer match still. both the midi and the brawl tune start the same too, with the background music for the intro.

Yeah, you want to check that against the OoT soundtrack or the actual game instead of just going by the USF? The USF lacks the intro since they're two separate pointers. The OST doesn't since it isn't emulating and pointing to various places in the code.
