After reading all these facts, I think we should start a religon...Brawlism. :P
by Only3Penguins at 10:21 PM EST on February 1, 2008
Would it be Internet sacrilege to imply that Brawl could beat Chuck Norris at arm wrestling?

Oh, and also, I think I heard something about this game having some of that stuff. You know the stuff. You listen to it and it's good. Music! It has that music stuff. That would be... that'd be nice to have... for... listening to....... I want the music.

Any new developments from the guys working on the game dump?

Now we will have to wait until it is available for download.

Super Smash Bros. is a game played by idiots who like to change the rules to the degree that the game becomes the most generic and bland fighting game ever. I mean, seriously. Final Destination is the worst fucking stage ever, there's absolutely no variation in the stage at all. In fact, they shouldn't make any more SSB's, they should let the fans make their own crappy games, much like the Sonic fans have done. Not to say that the Sonic fans aren't retarded, but that's a different story.

But the music is awesome. That you can't deny. And I'm looking forward to downloading it.

For what may be the first time I can remember, I 100% side with UF on something. It's just a bunch of CGIs smacking each other around without any substantial reason for doing so (and don't tell me the single-player mode is reason enough - wouldn't these people work TOGETHER to fight off a weird shadowy thing rather than maul each other? It's Diddy Kong Racing-tier plot holes all over again). No stage in this one has more than 5 platforms except for that weird DK scrolling one where the platforms don't fit with the backdrop period ... and speaking of backdrops, the ratio of creativity put into the playable areas of the stage vs. the amount of detail put into the freaking BACKDROPS is quite shameful.

Now I got that out of my system ... I can be called a heretic for not acknowledging the game as God. As always.

The music is good though, agreed. Even if I can't for the life of me ever see that SMB remix (which is one of my favorites from the game so far) working in any Smash game. Ever.
I\\\'m sorry, what? by Maple at 1:15 AM EST on February 2, 2008
"...they should let the [Sonic] fans make their own crappy games..."

Could you repeat that? I couldn't hear you over the sound of your "opinions".

Oh, pardon me. I mistook "overly hacked games" as homebrew. Not like there's a difference anymore.

I'm not one of those strict-rule following "pro" players but I do understand that they choose Final Destination because it has no hazards. Their aim is to remove all random elements from the game. Not my cup of tea but to each their own.

And don't pass judgment on this game's single-player until we know more about how it plays out. This one is supposed to have a more substantial story written by a Final Fantasy scenario writer and I believe the only fighting done in story mode is against against non-playable bosses or between established hero/villain pairs.

Also anyone who sees cutscenes from this game's single-player and doesn't get all giddy has no business calling himself a gamer. Unless, I suppose, you have a preference against Nintendo's stable of characters to begin with.

The "game's single-player?" Let's go with the pattern so far:

1) Figures come alive
2) Animated figures beat the shit out of each other
3) Animated figures beat the shit out of a gigantic hand and its psycho brother, thus killing themselves in the process.

BEST STORYLINE EVER HURR HURR

In all honesty though, I do like the SSB series. I just hate the rabid fanboys who defend their stupidity when we all know that they should just be playing a different game in the first place. In fact, if I can get my hands on a Wii, I'll probably buy it.

Talking about Sonic fan-games, I can't help but wonder what's wrong with you people. If Sonic Robo Blast 2 isn't mentioned, then you're missing out. To me, it is a *very* surprisingly advanced game (development-wise at the least), for a fan-game. Give it a try. It's one of the best Sonic games I've ever played. Then again, I really suck at 2D side-scrollers, so that might be why I like this game.

Sorry to get off the topic of SSBB, but if Sonic fan-games are going to be mentioned, then please do it right. Mouser X over and out.
