Here are all the Boy and His Blob files, as promised:

part 1

part 2

These are all the music and sound effects files exactly as they are stored on the disc (WAVs and OGGs). For some reason, there seem to be a few duplicate ogg files for some of the WAVs.

Something worth noting, bcass, is that A Boy and His Blob uses WAV, OGG, and MP3. Yes, even though some of the files have a WAV extension, they are in fact MP3s. If I recall correctly, the OGGs are the most complete, though there might be a WAV that's not available as an OGG. Essentially though, if all your interested in is the music, the OGGs should cover everything.

I just thought I should mention the MP3 thing, since I didn't see you mention it. I thought it was interesting that the game would use 3 different formats for the audio. I suspect that the MP3s were part of the development process, and probably weren't intended to be in the final game. Mouser X over and out.

I thought I'd leave someone else to organise the files as the music isn't really my cup of tea.

bxaimc - I had a stab at ripping the Galaga Legions music, but no luck so far. The music isn't stored in xwb files (well, if they are, they're contained in other files). I *think* the music may be stored in xpr files (judging by the size of these files). I tried lots of different xpr extractors, but to no avail. Here are all the files (minus the game executable):

I hope it's not sequenced =(

Me too. It's not even possible to do a proper lossless recording by setting the SE volume to 0 and recording via S/PDIF as some of the tunes aren't given enough time to loop, pausing the game stops the music, and there's no soundtest...
