I've been kind of busy with Portable Music History, but here's a (I think) previously unripped Jake Kaufman score:

Thor: God of Thunder (2011-04-28)(WayForward)(Sega)

i've tagged and timed Chocobo to Mahou no Ehon - Majo to Shoujo to 5-Nin no Yuusha if you want to add that

Could someone try to make a 2sf rip of "Lupin Sansei: Shijou Saidai no Zunousen" please?

VixyNyan: will you be retagging PB2W2 based on the OST? Didn't download since that's what I was anticipating.

Sonic Colors 2sf set, finally tagged and sorted. I couldn't find the composer info for the later tracks, so if anybody could help, I'd appreciate it. Also, two tracks in this set are unplayable as 2sf, but playable on Nintendo DS: "Theme of Sonic Colors" and SEQ_glad (the latter, however uses the same sound bank as "Attention, Please!"). I'd also appreciate it if those tracks were fixed. Enjoy.[/small]

Looking at the Sonic Colors rip, SEQ_glad has a volume of zero set in the SSEQ. Try changing that to see if it helps. I think I did, but it's a good exercise to learn the Make 2SF tool in VGMToolbox.

--

I can't see why "Theme of Sonic Colors" (SEQ_ending.sseq) will not work. As unpacking the set's SDAT will reveal, both the bank (BANK_BGM_ENDING.sbnk) and its associated wave archive archive (WAVE_BGM_ENDING.swar) appear to be intact (not zeroed out by the optimizer).

In case you'd like to do additional research, here's what I did. All tools are within VGMToolbox.

1) run XSF2EXE on the .2sflib file used by the .mini2sf file
2) run SDAT Finder on the output from (1)
3) run SDAT Extractor on the output from (2)
4) run XSF2EXE on the .mini2sf you want to examine
5a) in a hex editor, look at the output from (4)
5b) at offset 8, is the 16-bit little endian file id of the SSEQ for that .mini2sf
6) Using the File Id from (5b), find the corresponding SSEQ using the SMAP from (3) [SEQ_ending]
7) Look for the BNK number for the SSEQ you identified in (6) [Bank number 19]
8) Find the corresponding bank for the BNK number you identified in (7) [BANK_BGM_ENDING]
9) Find the corresponding wave archive number(s) for the bank you identified in (8) [Wave archive number 21]
10) Find the corresponding Wave archive for the wave archive number identified in (9) [WAVE_BGM_ENDING]
11) Check each of the files identified in (6), (8), and (10) to make sure they were not full of zeroes. These files will be present in the unpacked SDAT folder from (3).

At this time, I cannot think of anything that would prevent this set from playing. All of the links within the SMAP appear intact and the SDAT itself seems OK.

Regarding your comment regarding a VGMToolbox fix, I'm not sure that anything could change since the .mini2sf and .2sflib file seem OK from my research. To make the 2SFs, VGMT just identifies unused files within the SDAT and zeroes them out to improve zlib compression, other than that it leaves them as-is.

^ Maybe the problem could be due to driver compatibility. I wonder if could be ripped using Sonic Colors' own driver.

Changing the topic, I found out about the Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 soundtrack, and that it includes the previously unreleased music from Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon Platinum, so I decided to update their respective GSF and 2SF sets:

Pokemon Platinum (2008)(Game Freak)(Nintendo).rar

Pokémon Emerald (2003)(Game Freak)(Nintendo).rar

And while I'm at it:

Pokemon Diamond & Pearl (2006)(Game Freak)(Nintendo).rar

New version of set with Fight Area (Night) restored.

Enjoy, folks.

(Now if they decided to do something with the Yellow and Crystal music...)

Thanks for restoring the "Fight Area" songs in both soundtracks.

By the way, is there any difference between R/S Title theme and Emerald Title? I don't find any audible one.

Thanks

So far I don't notice any, but I included it anyway to match with the official release.
