anyone know what's up with the Custom Robo sets? they're credited solely to Yousuke Yasui, when in fact both games are collaborative with other supersweep composers, and have per-track accreditation, as seen here:

Because I ripped it, and I'm lazy when it comes to credits research. I'd rather be hacking the code, or resting from the effort. If someone more interested wants to improve the tags, they can go for it.

cool ok, no worries. i might get around to tagging them sometime in future.

Hey! What about a rip of Fifa 64? I'd like one for nostalgic reasons.

Chameleon Twist 1 would satisfy me.

Chameleon Twist 1, Starshot Space Circus Fever.

Those are the only two I really care about now.

Chameleon Twist crashes randomly in interpreter mode. I fought with it, but it's determined not to work for me. Here's the details that resulted in accurate music initing:

Music Init: (Save state on 80025E0C with graphics thread killed. Set PC to 80025DF8. It'll play, but crashes randomly)

I'd like to see a Micro Machines 64 Turbo rip. I'd also love a Chameleon Twist (1) rip, but I believe that's problematic.

Noooice Conker's Bad Fur Day set, ugetab! Been waiting for this.

Some problems with dynamic tracks still persist, though:

sparse0d: Needs an additional version sparse0db where all the instruments from sparse0da are muted (so that only the shark theme plays).

sparse01b: The comedic sounding horn (the first instrument to be heard after the bass at the beginning) needs to be muted.

sparse5eb-sparse5ed: sparse5ea is accurate, but the others have a lot of wrong instruments. sparse5ed sounds right, but a bit overamplified, because both string sections are enabled (the one with two notes has to be disabled while the other with three notes stays). I uploaded an archive to let you hear the correct individual versions of the song.

sparse58: Needs an additional version sparse58a without the ritual chants of the cavemen ("phalascra-phage...").

sparse86: Some instrument mistakes here. There are three versions for each area of the level: "normal", "normal + 1st string set" and "normal + 1st&2nd string set". Here's another archive with the normal versions and with the string sets, so you know what I mean. It's a little hard to hear the differences with the background sound effects, so here's the versions in detail:
sparse86a: Normal version a. The third and sixth contrabass notes that play alongside the woodblocks need to be muted (only four contrabass notes play for one loop). Also, the timpani has to be enabled (as it is in the current rip of sparse86b).
sparse86b: Normal version a + 1st string set.
sparse86c: Normal version a + 1st&2nd string sets.
sparse86d: Normal version b. (identical to the current rip of sparse86b)
sparse86e: Normal version b + 1st string set.
sparse86f: Normal version b + 1st&2nd string sets. (identical to the current rip of sparse86e)
sparse86g: Normal version c. (identical to the current rip of sparse86d)
sparse86h: Normal version c + 1st string set.
sparse86i: Normal version c + 1st&2nd string sets. (identical to the current rip of sparse86g)

sparse88: Another dynamic track. I recorded the individual sections and uploaded the archive.

sparse43a-sparse43g: sparse43b has a few milliseconds chopped off at the beginning, the others don't but do not play properly, as you remarked. But the track was on the soundtrack anyway, and a previous rip from November 2005 has the dynamic tracks working (also with a bit from the beginning chopped off), so who cares?

I'd be glad if someone could look over it one last time to fix that stuff (save for sparse43).
by ugetab at 2:40 AM EST on January 7, 2010
The rip itself still has some points of inferiority to the released set, but I may be able to mess with some of the things you've suggested.

Since I took the dynamics from the original rip, anything I fix in this set gets to stay fixed from now on with minimal effort.

Normally, I'd play through the game and get all the data for myself, but I can't really say I'm up to it at this point.
