Nezplug++ Issue... (GBS+Winamp) by Sonicandtails at 5:00 AM EDT on April 10, 2010
Not sure where else to look for help but here these days. I'm using the latest modified nezplug++ with Winamp and I see "Mega Man 2(1/19)" and so on for my GBS files, but hitting Next will not proceed to the next track and I cannot find a way to shadow them in to the playlist. What am I missing here?

Are you using in_zip.dll? If yes, that might be your problem. It's been a long time since I ran into this issue (I use things differently), but if I recall correctly, in_zip/NEZplug++ don't play nicely with each other when attempting to play mult-song files. If you're not using in_zip, then I can't say what the problem may be, and I don't have the time right now to go into any further. Hopefully that's your issue. Mouser X over and out.

Right-click Next?

I don't appear to have in_zip.dll unfortunately.

Trying a fresh side Winamp installation though, it's the same. However, it will work if it's the only or last track in the playlist. This can't be how it has always worked right?

SmartOne: Right click Next won't do it :(

There's a setting HookWinamp in the INI that must be set to enable Right-click subsong advancing.

It's enabled. None of the switches appear to do anything though, the songs by default should only loop twice but they loop forever anyways...

Guess it's time to blame Winamp.

Honestly, that's probably the case. Oh well, thanks for trying :) VGMstream should pick up GBS methinks >_>

It sounds like everything is working fine. NEZPlug will only advance the track if the .gbs file is at the end of the playlist. That's how it has always worked.

If you want more control over your subsongs, I recommend creating NEZPlug .m3u files which point to the individual subsongs in the .gbs file. Some examples of such files are available at this site.

Ah. XMPlay gives you the ability to change subsongs no matter where the file is in the playlist by right-clicking. I've become so used to it that I forgot how Winamp behaved.
