To me, it has a kind of tick sound, like it's clearly started halfway between the beat. It does this in other tracks. Try Wrinkly Kong. You can hardly hear the first marimba note because most of it is cut off. Also, the set is 100% exactly like the one I downloaded about 2 years ago, and as I said, it dates from 2006, at least the "Last Modified" date has 2006 in it, anyhow.
Also a perfect example of cutting intro would be K.Rool Duel. As you know the intro consists of triplets, and the first entire note is cut off. Where it should be 1-2-3 1-2-3 1-2-3 1-2-3, it goes 2-3 1-2-3 1-2-3 1-2-3.
I see (well, hear) what you mean now. It's almost like the cutoff is perfectly after the first beat (and hence me not noticing it on brief glance). Maybe JoshW didn't actually notice it either? (I know it's slim, but you never know). I think the best bet would be to contact him somehow.
Yeah, the actual cut off is pretty small. Some of the tracks simply have a pop sound where it starts, for example, halfway in the middle of a marimba, so instead of hearing the full "dink" sound, you'll just hear the "nk" part, if that makes sense.
I think you may be right, but my ears aren't trained as well on DK as they were on BK. I'm still not sure what wizardry Josh pulled to make BT work, so I have no idea how to go about suggesting a fix for this.
