Has anyone looked to where the synth bass/lead/pad sounds in ORAS come from? Maybe Kontakt/Nexus/Omnisphere? Especially the synth leads and basses.

Also, the 5ths lead sound from XY was used in ORAS, more specifically in the Interviewers theme and Elite 4 encounter (but would those be different sounds?).

I forgot if this question has been answered, I may have been told before but what was the music for super mario sunshine made with? I'm just asking because someone asked me on youtube recently, thanks!

I searched the thread for "sunshine" and got this. Not sure if it answers your question.

"I've definitely found Ricco Harbor's brass from the Roland Fantom X, so that's something you might want to look into. I haven't checked any other libraries I know he has for samples from Sunshine, though.
I'd imagine you've heard them from Delfino Plaza? Or New Super Mario Bros. U. I'm pretty sure they use the Fantom X and G's nylon guitar patches, respectively."

"I have found out recently that Super Mario Sunshine and Mario Kart: Double Dash use Spectrasonics Supreme Beats for their world percussion (just noticed with the tablas used for Yoshi drums and the cuica sounds)"
by Benjamin at 8:40 PM EST on December 19, 2015

"Also, I heard "Duce Snare 2" from E-MU Proteus/1 in Super Mario Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion, but I don't recognize anything else from there in those two."

On the subject of sunshine I still want to know what that whistle sound (thanks G-Boy for correcting me) from the beginning from Ricco Harbor is:
http://downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundtracks/album/super-mario-sunshine-game-rip/15-ricco-harbor.mp3
Since that sounds like the same one used here:

I'm also curious about what Return to Dream Land uses, I know Benjamin said it uses Kontakt and he may or may not have heard one of the Zero-G libraries in the Grand Doomer battle theme. Aside from the percussion in Magolor's first battle theme which I also want to find, if the whistle in both songs is the same (and it definitely isn't live) the originating sample library must be really old.

Roland Sound Canvas DS by G-Boy at 8:33 AM EDT on September 5, 2016
I found the Tuba sample from Roland Sound Canvas in the Overworld theme from NSMB. It feels like all DS games use at least one sample from it! Why is it so popular?

BTW, I thought it would be a nice idea to share this video:

Probably should have appended this to my last message by editing it, but whatever.

@PokeMusic: In ORAS especially the synth leads seem to be predominantly Omnisphere (presets from it are heard in tracks such as Route 111, Route 113, the surfing music, and Heavy Rain). One of the contest themes also used a Nexus preset. NI Massive was also used in the heavy rain music for bass and I think some other songs use the plugin too (such as the champion music, that bass is not Trilian, never found the exact preset though in Massive if there is one). For the reporter encounter and elite four encounter I don't think they're the same preset, since the elite four one sounds a lot raspier, but I think they're both HALion since the reporters lead resembles the one from XY Boutique and that was HALion. But there really isn't that much usage of HALion synths in ORAS outside of the trainer battle (the one panned left, not right).

Speaking of the synths in the ORAS trainer battle Alex and I believed for a long while that the right ear synth you hear when the loop begins (this synth is in pretty much all the battle themes in the game except for Elite Four battle and Deoxys battle, I think) is Mega Dance from Native Instruments Pro-53. But after listening carefully to the songs with that synth I'm starting to doubt it, especially after playing them at half speed; it doesn't glide like the pro-53 one and has a more abrupt sustain. Of course, Pro-53 isn't the only Prophet V emulator; there's the one by Arturia but I don't have it so I can't check it, also there's no guarantee they would have similar presets. I also don't think the synth is HALion since the closest thing to it in the plugin doesn't sound quite like it, nor do I think it's Omnisphere because that really doesn't sound like something I'd hear in it.
Any ideas?

The Sound Of Dark-Colored Coffee by G-Boy at 8:23 AM EDT on September 6, 2016
Does anyone know where the saxophone from Godot's theme in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations came from? It sounds like Roland Sound Canvas to me.
by PokeMusic at 4:16 PM EDT on September 6, 2016
I noticed the Aether Foundation lead synth is Vintage Squares Lead Unison.

Anyone been able to source any of the instruments used in Wario Land 4? Like the whirring in bass synth in this song?

@Smoggle
The Square Lead's from the Roland Sound Canvas. Maybe the bass is from there too.
