Hey Marcusss, I hope you don't mind yet another list of possible rips from some currently missing titles (which are absent from VGM Archives ATM). You know I ripped all those videogames many years ago but unfortunately I didn't back up my complete sets anywhere. Maybe it's for the better because we have XWBsplit now so that my old rips should be probably considered inferior these days... I also normally used Aluigi's FSBext instead of HCS's FSBii so it probably affected looping points and such.
Anyway since I don't feel like redoing all these gamerips by myself (it'd require quite some time since there're usually additional music pieces found in SFX/VO folders and even unique compositions in videos) I guess this list could prove useful for you. Just in case you become interested in the following scores I'll post as many useful details about them as I can. So here they are in alphabetic order:

Army of two: The 40th day (PS3/X360) - I processed this ancient TPS eons ago using nothing but WW2OGG. That rip wasn't completely without difficulties though: quite a few tracks didn't decode with packed_codebooks or packed_codebooks_aoTuV_603 provided in developer's package. In the end I converted them to playable OGGs using "--inline-codebooks" key... I suppose, it was so long ago!
BTW X360 should be redone too I presume, I'm almost sure Alpha23 transmogrified all XMAs in his own rip (his version was like 90% Wwise Vorbis and 10% or less Xbox media audio).
Oh, and in case you're wondering about the nature of this score, its authorship and so on... it's composed by Tyler Bates, I'd never call it his finest work but it's definitely not bad either.

Dynasty warriors 7 (PS3) - this rip was really easy to do and redo, I might have missed original filenames but listening to converted 5.1 AA3 files / playing back initial ATRAC3+ tracks later on proved to be fairly easy. Maybe there're specific scripts available these days or even (GUI) tools all dedicated to unpacking their proprietary G1L archives so this rerip is surely a walk in the park for any experienced ripper. Actually any generic file scanner will do the job fine, even VGMToolBox's advanced cutter (merely set it to search for usual "RIFF style" headers) is enough for extraction task.
As for original score itself... hmm, it's pretty typical Dynasty warriors action fodder with numerous compositions reused from DW4 or even DW3 (!). There's a number of beautiful songs or peaceful ambient tracks too.

Final fight: Streetwise (X).
Hunter: The reckoning (GC/X).
Rainbow six: Lockdown (GC/PC/PS2/X).
Rogue trooper (PC/PS2/X).
Saints row: The 3rd (PS3).
Shadow ops: Red mercury (X).
Steel battalion (X).
Steel battalion: Line of contact (X).

I guess that's all for now, if you wanna me elaborate on any aforementioned titles just tell me. I suppose I'd better post such stuff in smaller portions and provide more in-depth info on request.
Bye!

Hi Ultrafighter,

I will see what i can do. About dynasty warriors i remember my rip of dw 8 for the 360 i just edited out the g1l code and left the xma structure so didnt use any tools so perhaps it is the similar for 7 in the ps3 except xma part of course. If i come across it i will try to rip it.

I finally had some time to rip some more games

*Dungeon Siege III Treasures of the Sun Interesting is my DS3 rip is X360 but this DLC is PC but I'm guessing the music files and sizes are probably the same so I'm not too worried about this DLC being PC and not X360

*Magna Carta 2 - Bandai game with nice music

*IL2 Sturmovik Birds of Prey - After listening for 1 min I knew straight away it was the work of JEREMY SOULE! Nice It is a game in a war environment but music is great

*The Legend of Korra
*Brothers A Tale of 2 Sons Larger than the pc rip

*CONAN I went through all the video / vo /sound folders and music folders to get anything music related so hope I didn't miss anything but I double checked the game files for music.

*Endless Fables 2 (PC)

Game has OGG ,WMA and CAF Audio files.
BTW @ bnnm can you add pc CAF audio support. I saw Apple CAF was added but this version of CAF doesn't work in VGMSTREAM but does in VLC Player. From looking at other files from the game it looks like OGGs are inside the CAF.

A couple CAF example files too Examples

Cheers

Marcus

Hi Mark! So it was you who did DW8 X360? Thanks for this rip! I finished listening to it a few days ago and soundtrack is truly awesome (there're many themes recycled from previous installments in the series but they still don't spoil overall experience). I wasn't sure if it was actually you who made that set and upped it but it's better late than never... Huge thnx for providing this rip and adding it to VGM Archives!

So you ripped Brothers: A tale of two sons (PS3 or X360) & Conan (PS3)? The former should use more or less HQ XMA... or 128 kbps CBR MP3 if my analogies regarding StarBreeze VGs are right. Was the latter, IE Conan (2007), 100% ADPCM or were stingers and cutscene tracks encoded using MP3? In any case I'm eagerly awaiting for these sets to ultimately appear on JoshW servers so that me (and other folks) can get them! Your work is really appreciated!

Goodbye!

Ahh brothers and conan are x360 rips only. Sorry should.be clearer. Anyway you are welcome in regards to DW8. The music is good and 5.1 if my memory serves me well.

Endless fables for pc is a pain in the... to rip and extract.damn game using .cub archives and lots.of audio is inside caf files which need extracting or just bnnm to add. Anyway the music is not bad and the game is one of those click on the screen adventure games, which i play sometimes.

As you might have noticed, I've been going through DS releases and ripping everything possible we were missing earlier.
Still a few hundred games to go, but in the mean time, let me know here if you find any rips that require fixing (be it dupes, ncsf rerip needed or custom stream formats you manage to extract). Developer/release date fixes are also appreciated, especially for Europe exclusive games which don't have that data available more often than not.

Is missing the streaming music. hcs posted some versions of test.exe that works to convert its siren14 files here:

I will update the set with streamed tracks, but latest VGMStream version doesn't seem to play them. *shrug*

Headerless or new IS14/BNSF type?

Just one new upload this time around, but this is another big one at nearly 2GB:

Sengoku Basara 4: Sumeragi (PS3)

^So, something interesting to note about this rip: the audio originally came in the same "SSPR" file type as the other Sengoku Basara rip I posted here a while back (Sanada Yukimura-Den). Turns out, those files are basically Wwise archives! It took a good deal of time, but I ripped everything from the BGM folder! BTW, the demuxed movies are in the "aa3" section of the movie folder. That being said, I plan to go back to the Sanada game in the near future now that I know how to handle those .ssprs. 'Til next time!

You know what would really be helpful? A way to search for certain file types. You currently can't do that easily since the uploaded files are archives.

Even a static list would be helpful, and that can be easily created with `7z l *.7z`
