@ChillyBilly: Don't bother with Pop'n Music and Beatmania games, with exception of the two Pop'n PSP games, all of them overlay tonnes of samples on top of the streamed base tracks.

Hi Knurek,

There's some tools on the web that you can use to convert beatmania & Pop'n'Music files to BMS+WAV playable on BMS players. I recently able to convert 2dx files from arcade version of Beatmania IIDX to this format. Huge work, specially on latest beatmania arcade.

Bemani Tools

you can play them with this player

:O fast, you’re alive! Hi!! Lol.

Oooooh, this’ll work nicely since I have some of the later BMIIDX arcade releases. Thanks!

@Knurek: Yeah, I know the PS1 Bemani rips are technically "incomplete", but it still kinda bugged me that they weren't available, so I felt like taking matters to my own hands anyway. Maybe they'd be acceptable if I included the relevant data files along with the XAs? It might be possible to convert them to their complete versions with the tools fastelbja posted. Should also work for the PS2 Pop'n games, as well (tried to rip them a while back, but the audio was completely broken up into samples in those games' cases)....

Anyhoo, while I'm on the subject of Konami rips.... think anyone can lend me a hand with Kinniku Banzuke for the PS2? The brunt of the game's data comes in 3 huge BIN files, and it seems that the first one contains the audio since it turned out to be compatible with VGMT's BMDX/KCES presets. However, the problem is that they both just spit out one big, unplayable file for me. So maybe there's an alternate script or something that can be used instead? Here's the file in question:

PS2K.BIN

As always, thanks in advance to anyone who can help! :)

@ChillyBilly: Those tool FastElbja posted work only on Beatmania titles, Pop'n Music converters output PMS files, which have slightly different syntax to account for the 9th line.
by fastelbja at 12:40 PM EDT on July 1, 2018
@knurek, there is extra data for PMS file. if you delete them from .pms file and rename to .bms you'll be able to play in BMIIDXView ...

Now that the PC, XBox One and Switch ports of the Crash N. Sane Trilogy have been released, could we perhaps gets rips of them?

Hopefully one of them has the tracks loop around a few times.

I’m working on PS4 (rerip, although still doesn’t look like I missed anything.), Switch, and PC so I want to release them together.

Also, what do you mean with loop around a few times? They’re all one shots and repeat.

BTW, for those wondering, the few seconds missing from a few tracks at the beginning you hear in the soundtrack, they aren’t in the game (for Jungle Rollers for example). The awkward gap some people experience with trying to “loop” these with repeat is due to decoder lag.

Well I was hoping that they would loop by default in at least the PC version, as several other rips have done (Sonic Forces for example).

I'm not a fan of listening to recordings of the music just so they can repeat by themselves, so that's what I was wishing for.
