Seeking for VGMs does not seem to work for me

Will fix this for next beta. Same with NSF/whatever seeking.

@mudlord: Since your forum software isn't sending me my activation code, I'll post this here.

When I download your new installer and run it, I get this error message:

Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy.

I've tried downloading several times and this is always the result.

FC audio path by unknownfile at 12:40 PM EDT on June 6, 2008
I'm thinking about adding an audio pathway to Notsofatso (if it hasn't been implemented already).

Essentially, real hardware typically does this:

(AUDIO OUT) -> (CART AUDIO) -> (AUDIO IN)

So, the APU channels are mixed first, and are sent on to the cartridge to receive external audio (on cartridges without external audio, the two audio pins are bridged and nothing is modified).

The audio pathways are quite often mixed with resistors (about 11k ohms, if I remember correctly), so the sound gets softer along the pathway. So, the pathway will end up like this

(AUDIO OUT) -> (CART AUDIO + 11K OHMS) -> (AUDIO IN)

Repeat step 2 for as many expansion chips as possible.

BTW, this might interest some of you. I've done some SPC rips that aren't on SNESMusic.org (and probably won't be soon, as they only accept fully tagged sets).

All files are timed, and have basic tags, but are very much listenable.

Here's where to get them (32 games in all):

more vrc7 rubbish by unknownfile at 12:26 PM EDT on June 7, 2008
English homework is bloody boring, so some VRC7 rubbish that I might add back to emu2413:

I am not going to work on the toneset until I can get the attack tables right.

The attack table is calculated this way:

AR_ADJUST_TABLE[i] = (e_uint16) ((double) (1<<EG_BITS)-1 - ((1<<EG_BITS)-1)*log(i)/log(121));

Typically the log(121) is log(127) but it gives a somewhat better attack rate on some tracks. Still not good enough though. I'm going to try the YM2413.c values and see what I get.

Does anyone know of a program that converts GBS files to play on a psp gba emulator or a gba or emulator?

Never mind.
hardware recordings requested by unknownfile at 11:24 PM EDT on June 7, 2008
I'm implementing the audio path stuff, and I need some hardware recordings of the following chips in action (with the NES PSG playing as well!):

- N106
- MMC5

Knowing anewuser, our bored hunting guy, I'm going to guess that he's going to find it all.
