Sappy GBA Game List by G-Boy at 2:12 PM EDT on September 4, 2016
Recently, I installed the GBAMusRiper tool, which allows you to rip music, sound effects and soundfonts from Game Boy Advance games. But it has a limitation: only games with the Sappy engine can be ripped. Some people have requested a list of the GBA games that use the Sappy engine, so here it is! Feel free to submit games that you know uses the engine!

I think it would be faster to list the games that don't rather than the games that do.

Good idea! I've edited the list.

I can add to this list.

All GBA Pokemon games (including Red Rescue Team) use Sappy and are compatible with GBAMusRiper.

The two Metroid GBA games use Sappy as well, but are not currently compatible with GBAMusRiper (although you can still rip stuff from them with some trickery thanks to soneek).

Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror both use Sappy and are compatible.

Sonic Battle uses Sappy and is compatible.

There might be some others that I'm forgetting, but those are some big, important games. It's a real shame Superstar Saga doesn't use Sappy, I would have loved some midi+sf2 of that.

I agree with you on Superstar Saga, I love that game's music! A soundfont of it would've been nice.

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap is using the Sappy/MP2k engine (I made a rip of it myself).

You just need to find the songtable (I only have the address for the EUR Multi5 version though).

The problem with it is, practically each single song has its own soundfont, and putting all banks into one file (default behaviour) breaks compatibility with most soundfont players, as it exceeds the specifications.

I ended up with about of 3 GiB of soundfont data with separation.

To find the songtable, use stos.exe (Sound Table Offset Search), one of loveemu's little tools.
