Actually, it's a distributed system with few dozens or so servers, so just try again. Maybe the next server chosen will be a little faster for you. I've been getting constant 60 kB/s at home, maybe I'm just (feeling) lucky...

If I were you I'd think through this mirroring offer. The site generates very much bandwidth (rough estimate 100-200 GB per day without the trick we're using, thrice as much during an update day). You sure yor server can withstand that?

Speak of the devil, the site's been updated. Haven't checked if all the sets are properly linked yet, will do so when I get back from work.

New stuff:
Anno 1701: Dawn of Discovery
Bartender DS
Bomberman Land Touch! 2
Bomberman Story DS
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Custom Robo Arena
Death Note: Kira Game
Death Note: L o Tsugu Mono
Death, Jr. and the Science Fair of Doom
Digimon Championship
Digimon World: Dawn & Dusk
Dokidoki Majo Shinpan!
Elemental Monster: Gochuushin no Nazo
Essential Sudoku DS
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates
Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja (I've notticed that the game had an OST release quite recently, so the download has been taken down)
Kage Densetsu - The Legend of Kage 2
L: The Prologue to Death Note - Rasen no Wana
Master Jin Jin's IQ Challenge
Myst
Naruto: Ninja Council 3
Naruto: Ninja Destiny
Naruto RPG 3: Reijuu vs Konoha Shoutai
Naruto Shippuuden: Dairansen! Kage Bunsen Emaki
Naruto Shippuuden: Saikyou Ninja Daikesshuu 5
Simple DS Series Vol. 5: The Trump
Space Invaders Extreme (once again, OST release soon, so not available yet)
Tenchu: Dark Secret
The World Ends With You
Yoshi's Island DS
Zettai Zetsumei Dangerous Jiisan DS: Dangerous Sensation
Zoids Dash

Also, UF, instead of, you know, being a douchebag and all maybe you could look at doing another rip kit. Yoshi's Island driver does only play songs using roughly 550 kB or less of samples. Examples of games using more than 550 kB: Rune Factory 2, Ys 1 DS, Ys 2 DS. Probably Diddy Kong Racing and Megaman Battle Network 5 DS exhibit the same problem, can't check them now though.

How about you learn ARM assembly and do it yourself?
by marioman at 10:11 AM EDT on March 27, 2008
@Knurek: Thanks for the update.

@UF: But asking you to improve the rip kit is more fun. :P

considering that knurek has all this time on his hands he could just go ahead and learn to code. or is that too difficult?

but yeah, i'll make an updated ripkit later. or not, see if i care.
by Knurek at 10:44 AM EDT on March 27, 2008
Yeah, sure, I may do this stuff eventually. But really, I'd prefer to use my time on stuff that I can already do (like, you know, moar 2SF ripping, Hoot/GBS stuff, PSF timing, maybe even tackling that humongous KungFuFurby SPC backlog).

Not forcing you to do anything, the amount of games that work with the current ripkit is still staggering. Gonna take a while to burn through them.

Your efforts are appreciated, Knurek, no matter what UF tells you. With all you've put into DS ripping, I'd think he'd show more gratitude.

Frankly, what this board needs is more people besides you and hcs calling him on his crap.

Hey, folks. Newbie at the tagging, here, but glad to help out. I do have a couple questions before I unleash the Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin tags I've gotten together on the world, though:

1) Is there a standard tag name for the track number? (These do have track numbers, thanks to the OST. -track, maybe?)
2) I know there's a -2sfby tag. Is there an accepted standard to identify the tagger, or should I stop cramming my ego in there?
3) This is the one that'll get me in trouble. There's a stream in this pack for the opening movie's sound. What's the chance of seeing that converted to a 2sf so it can be tagged to match the rest? Is there already a tool or method and I've missed it?
by Knurek at 4:16 PM EDT on March 27, 2008
@1 Just name the mini2sf files accordingly (01 Opening.mini2sf). Will do the trick.
@2 Whatever's fine with you, though 2sfby is usually for people that did the ripping. Better use tagger=your_nick or just add a small textfile with your credits.
@3 No chance, but the stream is playable just fine with in_cube/in_vgmstream. Just post rename info for the .strm file.

Thanks, Knurek.

Okay, the batch file to tag the CV:PoR set is at
http://www.sendspace.com/file/t3pl5d
and please let me know if I did anything galactically stupid.

Maybe I'll work on Mr. Driller: Drill Spirits next.

Hmmm yea i think is was just that one day that i had some slow downloads off that server...yesterday i was getting about 70kb/s - 80kb/s....
