Yes Dias, it's real because I feel 2sf is an incomprehensible mess. In addition, the Desmume environment sucks for ripping and is likely the reason why I'm asked to do every custom driver rip, so having a better emulation environment would work a bit better.

Dangit, dangit, dangit...

Well, I gave Drone Tactics the ol' college try, and FAILED. My computer simply does not want to use VGMTrans or the ripkit...it absolutely REFUSES to do so.

Knurek, have you had the chance to look into that title for yourself, please? As much as I'd like to "give back to the community", Vista has other plans. <:\

NTR-AWCE-USA-000e.mini2sf <-- typical Sakuraba battle music...

In other words, Drone Tactics is ripped...

Meh, Shiren 2 DS uses Procyon Studio custom driver. :(

Can anyone tell me where to download VGM trans from?

Thanks

Ice Pegasus I have a version of it, dunno if its the latest, but I have uploaded it on my MSN space. Link Below, hope you get some use out of it. =)

I use it to play Pokémon Diamond NDS file. (It plays despite the custom driver and header)

VGMTrans.rar

I have tried exporting the DLS files but Synthfont doesn't like them. The MIDI exports work well though.

Winamp seems to like the .DLS well enough.

Thanks for the VGM trans! Yea if you play the DLS files through winamp....it sounds nearly exactly like a 2sf rip
by Knurek at 6:25 AM EST on November 15, 2008
Take note that VGMTrans doesn't support the PSG/chip channels (substitutes them for piano IIRC), so some songs will sound pretty weird.
by Elven Spellmaker at 11:09 AM EST on November 15, 2008
Knurek, I assume you mean drum channels etc? They play fine in VGMTrans, but as soon as a MIDI export is made it substitutes them for a Piano, so I just open them up in a MIDI editor (JAZZ++) and change the Drum Tracks back to drums. Or I can also use Synthfont...

But I have no idea why it doesn't like the DLSs...

Having said all of that, it seems to be hopeless, it just doesn't like using all the DLS sounds even in Winamp...

Argh... Its getting odd now, if I add the DLS to my soundcards input (Soundblaster Live 5.1), it comes out fineish... =/
