This may be an odd question since general consensus is that everyone hates it, but has anyone been able to convert the game's MIDI music to .WAV (or any other proper audio format)? I see a couple of YouTube uploads so someone has done it, to some extent. Did a search on here but didn't find anything about it. Thanks in advance!

I did see the regular Director's Cut in the archive but it also seemed to just be a couple of tracks and the sound font.

It looks like the uploaded set is only of the bonus disc (SLPS-01513, "Complete Disc") included with the Japanese Dual Shock release.
Here is a PSF rip of the main disc (SLPS-01512), created just now - untimed and only partially tagged.
It includes more than just music, and some sequences are (intentionally?) silent.

You can also use hsbsplit.py to get VAB+SEQ, playable/convertable via Awave Studio.

You can also try playing/converting via VGMTrans, though people have varying luck with this tool.
